Hallowich
Chief
Hallowich,
a year 25 year veteran of the fire service, joined the
William Walker Hose Co. In 1974 and has been volunteering ever since .He
has held company offices ranging from chief engineer, asst chief and for
the past ten years, chief of department. He holds many state
and nationally accredited certifications. Chief Hallowich has earned respect
from the people he leads by showcasing a strong work ethic and his ability
to motivate others, Chief Hallowich also enjoys training and competing
in Triathlons. |

Asst Chief.
Jess Yesalavage
Chief
Yesalavage’s fire service career started in 1974 and has since advanced
to the rank of Asst. Chief, where he has served for the previous 15 years.
Chief Yesalavage has also held the positions of Chief Engineer, Asst. Engineer,
Company President, and has also chaired many committees that have improved
daily operations within the department. Chief Yesalavage is commonly referred
to as the “GO TO GUY” of the department whenever something needs to get
done He has demonstrated a great deal of dedication to the department and
all it’s members. |

Assistant Chief-
Jim Kuzmak
A
12 year veteran of the fire service A.C. Kuzmak has held numerous positions
in the fire company, including, Public Relations Officer, Assistant Chief,
EMS Lieutenant and is also a past president of the hose company. An extremely
dedicated member of the department, Jim can always be counted to take on
any task required. Jim has completed numerous training classes and hold
national certifications in many areas. Jim is presently employed as an
area manager for the Fire Store and is a part time fireman for the Dunmore
Fire Department. |

Chief Engineer-
Joseph Brown
For
the past 20 years Chief Engineer Brown has served the William Walker Hose
Co. holding various positions within the department. He had currently held
the position of Asst. Engineer for the past six years and has done an excellent
job since taking over as Chief Engineer. The status of all our apparatus
is a high priority to Joe and he can often been seen under the hood, or
with a can of polish in his hands. Joe is currently self-employed as a
bus operator. Joe is one of our most dedicated and well respected
volunteers. |

EMS Captain
Andrew Ackley
Capt.
Ackley joined the William Walker Hose Co. In 1999 and has since moved up
the ranks to EMS Captain. Capt Ackley also serves as a Team leader for
the W.W.H.C.'s surge response team. He holds many state and nationally
recognized EMS and Fire service certifications. Capt. Ackley recently received
his paramedic license at Lackawanna College and is employed at Lackawanna
Ambulance usually assigned to LA-5. |

EMS Lt.- Aimee
Ackley
EMS
Lt. Ackley has been an active member since 2001 and has previously held
the Lieutenant position at William Walker. Aimee is employeed at
Marion Community Hospital in the Emergency Department. Aimee is an
outstanding EMT who also puts in alot of extra time for fund raising events.
We all benefit from Aimee's leadership on the scene as well as at the firehouse. |

Safety Officer-
John "Tootsie" Pizzimenti
A
35+ year veteran of the fire service,. S.O. Pizzimenti has worked his way
through the ranks of the department holding such positions as EMS Lieutenant,
and EMS Captain for over 20 years. In 2001 he took over the role as Safety
Officer and has held it ever since. Safety Officer Pizzimenti has a very
strong outlook on firefighter rehab standards, and is currently working
to improve firefighter rehab operations throughout the entire department
with drastic improvements already evident. |
